When residential care is the right first step
Some situations, particularly acute withdrawal, medical risk, or crisis, are safest managed in a residential facility with 24-hour supervision. If that's what your assessment points to, we'll say so plainly, and help you understand what to look for in a facility before you commit to one.
Where Road2Recovery fits in
Road2Recovery's own programme is a private, structured outpatient model, twice-weekly sessions in month one, weekly through months two and three, delivered face-to-face in Cape Town or online. We're not a residential facility ourselves, but we regularly work alongside them: helping families choose the right one, staying involved during a stay where possible, and picking up structured care the moment someone is discharged.
After residential care ends
Leaving a residential programme is its own transition, and it's where a lot of progress can quietly unravel without the right structure behind it. That's exactly what our 12-week outpatient programme and aftercare plan are built to hold up.
