Course Outline

Two days. Four modules.

Day 1

Introduction & objectives, self-development and introspection, interventions, what counselling is (and isn't), the ABC of counselling, the Egan Model, portrait and attributes of a counsellor, the 3 phases of counselling.

Day 2

Practical: the art of communication (verbal and non-verbal), purpose of questions, reflection of feelings and content, challenging, relationship and depth counselling, closure and referrals, and graduation.

Once you register, our team will be in touch to arrange payment by EFT or cash at our office. Full payment is due 14 days before your course starts. We never ask for card or banking details through this page.

Do I need any qualifications first?

No. This course is built for qualified professionals wanting to add counselling skills, and for individuals from all walks of life who want them for voluntary or personal use. No prior counselling background is required.

Where is the course held?

At our office in Crawford, Cape Town (limited seating, available weekends), or on-site at your organisation if you're registering as a group. Let us know what works for you.

What if I can't afford the full amount?
